16-year-old girl crushed to death by trailer

It was a sorry sight yesterday as a trailer crushed a 16-year-old girl named Cynthia Nikoro to death along the Auchi-Okene expressway in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State.

It was gathered that the Cynthia was killed by the company truck while trying to cross to the other side of the road; she died on the spot following the impact of the hit.

Reports have it that the deceased was crossing the road with some of her relatives but did not see the approaching truck.

According to an eye witness, “The victim and her family were crossing from the Angel 90 Junction to the opposite side of the road when the trailer knocked her down”.

Out of rage, some angry youths in the area attacked the truck driver but he managed to escape.

The angry youths on seeing that the driver has escaped burnt down the vehicle.

However, some men of the police force came to the scene and dispersed the irate mob.

It was learnt that the remains of the girl has been deposited at a mortuary by Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, officials.

It is very obvious that most PDP politicians who can predict and analyze the outcome of the occupancy of Douglas house have started earlier to align themselves with the candidates who are likely going to emerge as the consensus alternative following   serious litigation as the fall out of PDP primaries.

Most of these political pundits mainly the vibrant youths cannot root for APC and Rochas for very obvious reasons neither are they ready to take the risk of aligning with APGA with  two gubernatorial candidates.

That is why Imolites are going to witness the sharpest political re- alignment where 80% of PDP youths after they must have delivered GEJ in the first ballot exercise, will massively vote for the youthful combination of Dr Osmond Imo Ukanacho and his deputy ,43 years old Prof Protus Nathern Uzorma from Orlu zone and the mayor of Imo youths alliance under the United Progressive Party (UPP)

This  new political alliance is also taking place secretly among-st top PDP leaders who are too proud and hateful of Rochas that they have conspired  to carry their guber  votes after the presidential election  for GEJ to Ukanacho of UPP.

However, political arrangement of this nature is not a surprise to Imolites it is not the first time it has taken place in Imo state as a result of PDP political intrigues, Ohakim came on board  under such arrangement 

The race now is between Rochas of APC and Ukanacho of UPP.

We are going to see a clear win  by Ukanacho because of  the numerous forces that Rochas have stepped on their toes including top APC  leaders who are under the bondage of familitocracy, sacked PDP local government  chairmen  of Ohakim, top PDP big wigs whose daily bread have been rubbed by the victory of Rochas over Ohakim, aggrieved  members of the non-formal sector such as Orji mechanic village who believe that their landlord, Rochas is going to give them quit notice as soon as he comes on board come 2015 to expand his ‘godfather ‘estate at Spibat, etc.

Finally Imo state youths alliance with the UPP deputy governor , 43 years old Prof Protus Nathan Uzorma as their mayor have sworn to take over the Douglas house because they see themselves  as leaders of today because 'Obi' was a boy and now ‘Obi’ is a man.

Iloro Corps Members Steal Show at Ikogosi

Sunday, 1^st March, 2015 is a date, the likes of Corpers Frank, Egerton, Doris and Lizzy will never forget in a hurry, as they accompanied Stanley and Moses on excursion to Ikogosi Warm Spring and Resort.

It will be recalled that Ikogosi Warm Spring is the largest tourist center in Ekiti State where warm and cold water, oozing out from different sources, flowing separately to join in a pool but each retaining its thermal identity.

Stories have it that the warm and cold springs were the wives of the same husband who turned to springs water in the wake of rift and rivalry between them.

Further investigation by this writer revealed that, the hot and ill-tempered first wife turned to the popular warm spring while the cool-tempered second wife turned to cold spring water. The husband became the undulating hills that encompass the springs.

The excursion took a dramatic turn when Corpers Lizzy and Doris stepped out stylishly and danced to the tune of Shoki by Orezi while others watched with keen interest.
